Project: Mexico Travel WebQuest

A WebQuest is a kind of research project where students work in groups and research information on the Web to complete a given project or task.

Find your WebQuest at http://mexicotravelwebquest.googlepages.com/. To complete this project, you will need to work in groups of three. (Tell me who you are working with by the end of next class.) Read through the pages at this site to understand the project, and we will discuss timelines, groups and roles on Saturday. Enjoy!

Hi Russell,
Is it real? Because it would be very interesting to meet people in this way. I hope there's a visit from other students. If it is not I think anyways it is an interesting project, which I will enjoy! I think we have many things to show off!!

Hi Roxana,
No, it isn't real; it's an exercise. But it's very possible and likely to happen at some point while you are studying English that you could meet people like this. (A former student of mine and very good friend in Morocco now works arranging visits of American students in exchange programs.) Anyway, when you do meet other people from outside Mexico, you'll have thought about and dealt with some of the preconceptions they might have and be well prepared to inform them about or guide them through your country! And, absolutely, you have many, many, MANY things to show off!!

Hi Rusell!
It's Luis, and I write this in order to respond that what we were talking about last Saturday. Excuse me about writing here, but I didn't aks you where to send you the information. Well, here we go:
1. The link to download the program for the video is:
http://videotodo.blogspot.com/2007/05/freeware-tool-for-download-direct.html
It´s easy I think.
2. To post videos on blogger, for example of Youtube:
-Well, choose your video and open it.
-Then copy the informaciĆ³n in the section with the name "EMBED" (generally, it's at the right side of video)
-Go to your blog and open a new post and choose the "Edit HTML" option then paste that what you copied from youtube.
-Then be sure to erase this: -425" height="350">-, instead of write all what you want about this video or anythig and send the info of video to the line below. Finally, before, publish it,check the preview, if it looks like you want, well publish it.

OK, that's all. I hope it works.
See you

Ciao Luigi e molto grazie-

The first set of instructions sounds much easier than the second, but we'll try 'em both out and will let you know if we have any troubles. Thanks again though for posting that. (And it's perfect to post it here in case anyone else wants to try this.) See you-
